Creating Healthier Communities. Enabling Stronger Futures.
At 2nd Brain Foundation, we believe sustainable social development requires more than addressing individual problems in isolation. It requires strengthening the health, knowledge, capabilities and economic independence of communities.
Our programmes are designed around clearly identified social challenges, with an emphasis on evidence-informed interventions, community participation, measurable outcomes and sustainable partnerships.
Through our proposed programme framework, we aim to develop focused initiatives across five areas: community health and nutrition, neurodiversity and mental wellbeing, healthy ageing, education and women's economic empowerment.
We seek to collaborate with philanthropic foundations, CSR institutions, healthcare organisations, educational institutions and grassroots organisations to translate shared development priorities into scalable, measurable and lasting impact.
Connecting Communities to Better Health Through Nutrition
Focus Area: Preventive Healthcare, Gut Health & Nutritional Wellbeing
Poor nutrition, lifestyle disorders and limited awareness of preventive healthcare continue to affect the health and productivity of communities including the underprivileged sector. Digestive health, in particular, remains an under-addressed dimension of overall wellbeing.
NOURISHSETU aims to improve community health literacy through science-informed nutrition education, health assessments and accessible dietary interventions.
Intended Impact: Better nutritional awareness, informed dietary practices and improved access to preventive healthcare.
Who We Aim to Serve: Underserved communities, adults and families, particularly individuals managing chronic health conditions.
Understanding Minds. Enabling Inclusion.
Focus Area: Neurodiversity, Mental Health & Brain Wellbeing
Children living with neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions, along with their families and caregivers, often face fragmented support systems, limited awareness and challenges accessing appropriate guidance.
MANNOVA aims to build a more informed and supportive ecosystem for neurodivergent children experiencing mental health challenges.
Recognizing the emerging understanding of the gut-brain connection, the programme seeks to bring nutrition science, awareness and multidisciplinary support into conversations around brain and mental wellbeing.
Intended Impact: Better-informed caregivers, stronger support networks, greater inclusion and improved access to appropriate support.
Who We Aim to Serve: Neurodivergent children experiencing mental health conditions, and their families and caregivers.
Enabling Dignified, Healthy & Independent Ageing
Focus Area: Healthy Ageing, Cognitive Wellbeing & Senior Citizen Empowerment
Ageing brings interconnected challenges involving nutritional health, declining physical and cognitive function, social isolation and financial dependence. Older adults deserve opportunities to remain healthy, independent and meaningfully engaged in society.
SAMPANN aims to develop an integrated, community-based model of healthy ageing that combines nutrition, cognitive wellbeing, social participation and economic empowerment.
Intended Impact: Better nutritional awareness & mental health status, greater independence, improved social participation and opportunities for supplementary income among older adults.
Who We Aim to Serve: Individuals aged 60 and above, particularly those facing nutritional, cognitive, social or economic vulnerabilities.
Equipping Young Minds for a Healthier Future
Focus Area: Education, Health Literacy & Life Skills
Education must extend beyond academic achievement. Children and young people also need the knowledge, awareness and life skills to make informed decisions about their health, relationships and future.
SEEKHRISE aims to complement formal education through community and school-based learning initiatives that equip young people with practical knowledge and capabilities.
Intended Impact: Improved health literacy, stronger life skills and greater awareness among children, adolescents, students, parents and educators.
Who We Aim to Serve: Schoolchildren, Adolescents, College students, Parents, Teachers and Educational communities, including underserved groups.
Turning Skills into Sustainable Livelihoods
Focus Area: Women's Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship
Many women possess valuable skills, knowledge and entrepreneurial potential but lack access to structured training, market linkages and income-generating opportunities. Homemakers, in particular, often face constraints that limit their participation in conventional employment.
KAUSHALCATALYST aims to bridge this gap by enabling women to transform their existing capabilities into sustainable economic opportunities.
Intended Impact: Increased income-generation opportunities, stronger entrepreneurial capabilities and greater financial independence among women.
Who We Aim to Serve: Homemakers, women from economically vulnerable communities and aspiring women entrepreneurs.
